Information we collect

Ghost Thoughts stores the account information you provide, including your email address, ZIP code, display name, marketing preference, thoughts, tags, reminders, group memberships and uploaded files.

How we use it

We use this information to operate your account, keep your thoughts available across devices, support shared groups and maintain the service. New accounts are enrolled to receive occasional Ghost Thoughts news and offers unless the user opts out during signup. We may use the account email address and ZIP code for those messages.

Your choices

You can opt out during signup or at any time from your Account page. Opting out does not affect account or service emails. You can also delete individual thoughts, shared groups you own or your entire account. Account deletion permanently removes your personal content and groups you own.

Sharing

Thoughts in a shared group are visible to members of that group. We do not sell personal information. Service infrastructure processes data only as needed to operate Ghost Thoughts.

Security and retention

Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. We retain account data until it is deleted or is no longer needed to operate the service.
